Dustin and Michelle, what a spectacular wedding you had in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, without doubt it was a dream come true for both of you! Fairmont Banff Springs is one of the most sought after wedding venues in the province of Alberta and, indeed, in all of Western Canada. Couples travel from around the world to proclaim their eternal love in this location and there’s no doubt as to why. This is a truly magical place, with an air of ancient beauty.

Getting Ready for a Fairmont Banff Wedding

Michelle was getting ready at the Castle in the Mountains, which has medieval style rooms with large windows letting in plentiful daylight. This is perfect for shooting a bride getting ready, as the light is natural, soft and extremely flattering.
Michelle looked absolutely radiant and it was such a pleasure capturing these moments, watching the excitement increase throughout the morning.
Pacing the Morning
Getting ready is possibly my favourite part of the day, especially if the timeline has allowed for things to run over. Being relaxed is SO important on your wedding day! We can’t stress that enough. The wedding goes by so fast and the last thing you want is to be racing against the clock on top of that.

The time had come. It was the biggest moment of the day, as friends and family took their seats overlooking the spectacular Rocky Mountains of Banff National Park.
And it was the dream venue of Dustin and Michelle, as they always wanted a fairytale wedding. Well, there is no better place! It was the perfect backdrop for the dramatic and poetic romance of Dustin and Michelle.
Devastatingly, Dustin lost his mom before the wedding took place, so she wasn’t able to see them get married, but her presence was felt throughout the day.

Wedding Reception in Mt. Stephen Hall

Fairmont Banff Springs has several room that accommodate wedding receptions, but the most famous is Mt. Stephen Hall. This is a spectacular, medieval themed banquet hall which truly makes you feel transported to a European Castle.
