Madi and Mark’s wedding at Vermilion Regional Center was one we won’t soon forget! They have already been together for over seven years and they are no doubt destined for each other. Their summer wedding was definitely one of the highlights of the season!

As wedding videographers based out of Edmonton, Alberta, we LOVE opportunities to film events outside of our local area. This province and country has so many spectacular locations. Vermilion was especially interesting, because it is a very historical community. Madi chose some beautiful locations for the portraits and wedding party photos, including the local museum. The ever wonderful Nicole Ashley, Madi and Mark’s photographer, spotted a room downstairs in the basement of the museum that was perfectly suited to the vibe of the day and the era of Madi’s dress inspiration. We love these little hidden gems that give clients truly unique photos and videos!

The Day Begins

Madi wanted the start of the day to be very elegant and classy, with a modern royal vibe. Her dress was inspired by Grace Kelly and she customized it herself with unique elements – um, wow! The evening was planned to be an epic party. They had over 320 guests attending and it was very lively with games, drinks and lots of fun!

The weather was perfect; warm, sunny, but not unbearably hot. We started our day filming the bride and groom getting ready at their separate locations. This is such an exciting part of the day, we love the anticipation of the bridesmaids seeing the bride in her dress for the first time. We love when couples write each other letters and the emotions come up to the surface. The culmination of years of memories, such profound love, take over and this is the magic of a wedding.
